Skill Toy Club Members Meet, Teach and Play at Herbfest
April 28, 2008 – 3:45 pmOn April 26th, about 15 kids from two Skill Toys Clubs gathered at the Wake Forest Herbfest and played with skill toys and engaged and taught families and kids alike.
Variety Arts Directory
April 27, 2008 – 10:54 amThe Variety Arts Directory is a listing of all the art forms that require the manipulation of objects, usually for no practical reason, and tend to lend themselves to performance.
Things like juggling, yo yo, and (hula) hooping. Also listed are the lesser known but rapidly rising art forms such as pen spinning, poker chip manipulation, and kendama.
Each listing gives a short introduction to the prop, links to associations, top websites, vendors, and teaching materials. The directory has about 60 listings and is about 90% complete.
As I have time, I look forward to further researching and developing each listing. But for now, I hope you enjoy the fruits of my labor.
